A former Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s 2025 budget proposal, stating that it has the potential to address Nigeria’s economic and security challenges and significantly improve the nation’s fortunes.

Speaking at the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Akure branch’s end-of-the-year dinner, which he sponsored, Adegoroye urged legal practitioners to uphold professional ethics and discharge their duties with integrity and the fear of God.

He noted that the 2025 budget proposal of N49.7 trillion, significantly higher than the 2024 approved budget of N28.8 trillion, reflects bold and ambitious plans for infrastructural and security development.

“The proposed budget will address critical economic and security issues, and President Tinubu’s assurance of improved security will foster investor confidence in Nigeria,” Adegoroye said.

The APC chieftain reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the NBA Akure branch and encouraged young lawyers to learn from experienced seniors to enrich their legal practice.

During the event, Adegoroye officially launched the NBA Akure branch football team, which recently emerged victorious over the NBA Ikeja branch team in a Lagos competition. He pledged to sponsor and equip the team for future tournaments.

In recognition of his support, the NBA Akure branch football team was renamed “Prince Adegoroye Babes” in his honor.

The dinner was attended by judges, former NBA chairmen, executives of the branch, friends, and family members of the former minister.

Former NBA Akure branch chairman, Mr. Rotimi Olorunfemi, highlighted the importance of the annual bar dinner as a platform for lawyers to connect and celebrate outside the courtroom.
