Ghanaian actor Kalybos has openly addressed widespread criticism about his marriage, admitting to claims that he married his current wife for "money and a British passport."
The actor made the revelations during an appearance on the Girls Aloud Podcast, where he discussed his reasons for marrying his wife despite public backlash.
Kalybos dismissed the notion that long-term relationships automatically lead to marriage, stating, “Being in a relationship for a longer period doesn’t mean you have to settle with the person no matter what.”
Reflecting on his past relationship with a former girlfriend, Frimpomaa, whom he dated for several years, Kalybos revealed that he did not see her as a suitable life partner despite their serious commitment.
“I married my wife for money and a British passport, just as everyone is saying,” the actor said sarcastically while stating he is yet to get a British passport.
His remarks have sparked renewed debates on social media, with many expressing divided opinions about his unconventional views on relationships and marriage motivations.
