Do you really want to know what it means to be called a Rose? Just take a moment to look at Rose Obi—and perhaps, my humble self. There’s something undeniably captivating about the name "Rose." It’s more than just a word; it's an identity, a bloom that evokes beauty, grace, and strength all in one breath.

Queen Rose: A Serendipitous Encounter

On the first day we met, I captured a moment that, for reasons I can't quite fathom, I felt compelled to photograph. Discovering this image in my archives was a delightful surprise. It stands as a poignant testament to my journey and the remarkable stories woven into our lives.

I vividly remember the first time I met the remarkable Rose Obi. It was at a Nigerian cultural event, and she swept into the room with the elegance of a queen. Dressed as though she had just stepped out of a royal English affair, she radiated a poise that turned heads effortlessly. At first, I had no idea how highly esteemed she was, but I would soon discover her impressive stature—an accomplished lawyer, a woman of standing. Yet, what truly sets her apart is how lightly she wears her crown. Despite all her accolades, there’s not an ounce of pretense in her.

Whenever our paths cross at social functions, it’s always a whirlwind of laughter, fashion, and unfiltered joy. We chat endlessly about everything that sparkles—life’s beautiful details—while striking pose after pose for my never-ending stream of selfies. Each moment with her feels like a page out of a glamorous magazine, filled with fun, laughter, and a sprinkling of effortless charm.

To me, Rose Obi has redefined the name Rose entirely. I’ve never been particularly fond of the name; perhaps I found it too common, and I’ve always preferred things that stand out. But Rose Obi has given it a whole new essence—one of elegance, joy, and resilience. With her, life is as radiant as a summer’s day, and yes, it truly feels like a bed of roses.
