2024 Ojude Oba Festival in Ogun State is a vibrant celebration that brings together rich traditions and a sense of community. "Ojude Oba," meaning "The King's Forecourt," is an ancient festival held on the third day after Eid al-Kabir, where people gather to honor and pay tribute to the Awujale, the Royal Majesty of Ijebuland.
This esteemed festival, hosted in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, attracts visitors from all corners of the globe. Attendees are treated to a breathtaking spectacle of colorful attire worn by different age groups, known as ‘regberegbe’. The festivities also include thrilling horse-riding competitions and a diverse array of cultural performances, each highlighting the unique heritage of the region.
The spirit of Ijebu comes alive with the chant, "Ijebu Omo Alare, Eweso ooo!" encapsulating the pride and joy of this cherished event.
